In the prestigious setting of a fully restored 18th century merchant mansion, situated in the heart of the historical city and listed in the official Additional Register of the Historical Monuments of la Rochelle, two magnificent halls are available for private hire, with furniture and art objects of the period, French, as well as Indian, Chinese and Japanese, with independent access from the 74 Chemin du rempart (rampart lane) through a garden and a grand staircase.
La Résidence des Indes also offers the unique setting of a cabinet of tribal curiosities, in the spirit of the 18th century, a green and cosy patio of 30m² and a large gardenof 120m².

The small and large halls have a combined area of 82m² that can accommodate up to fifty persons standing or fourty persons sitting, with the additional capacity of 16 seats in the 35 m² of the adjacent cabinet of curiosities.

These three spaces can be combined in a modular way to suit all types of meetings/receptions over breakfast, lunch, tea time or dinner, and events, be they conferences, performances, workshops, etc.

If need be, we may support your event with the logistics of the tea room that is harboured in the three halls and the patio, or else you may hire your own caterer or one of those we are used to work with.
